Announcements and Introductions > Just wanted to say thank you.

If it weren't for me finding this site (after months of researching EDs and trying to convince myself I didn't have one), I would never be doing what I did today. Today, for the first time in a very long time, I ate without counting calories. It's the best feeling I've ever had. I've been putting off seeing my GP for months, despite losing my period, losing mass amounts of hair, and having (what I now know is) arrhythmias. I've taken the plunge, and went to see my GP who has referred me to a therapist.
I've decided that I'm just going to eat. I'm not going to deny the hunger anymore. I don't know how long this is going to last, and I'm scared, yet more free than I've ever been.
For anyone who's reading this and is concerned about themselves, or someone else, or have a feeling that you/someone you know might have an ED, please, see someone about it.
Again, thank you so very much. You truly are a blessing.
